I decided to create a blog so I could communicate with everybody at once and so I would actually put down some of my thoughts and experiences. I'll write more later.
Mitch, Your stories of Viet Nam are interesting to me here in the United States. You truly sound as if you are a stranger in a strange land, no matter how comfortable you may feel from time to time. However, it warms my heart to know there is a "grandma" figure in your life to care and worry about you. Go ahead and eat, you can use some extra pounds. Funny how food in most cultures is a symbol of caring. I wish I could send you some food. I love you! Mom
